Mythology Floral Art Inc. (“Mythology Floral Art”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

1. Who we are

Mythology Floral Art Inc. is a floral design studio based in Toronto, Ontario, serving Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. We are the organisation responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

When you submit the inquiry form on our Inquire page, we collect the details you choose to enter: your name, email address, phone number, the type of project you’re planning, your event or project date, venue or location, approximate guest count, estimated floral budget, your message to us, and how you heard about us. Only your name, email and message are required. The rest is optional and exists so we can prepare properly for our first conversation.

If you email or phone us directly, we receive whatever information you include in that message.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request), which are used to keep the site running securely and to diagnose problems.

We do not run website analytics on this site. There is no Google Analytics or comparable tracking installed. We do not build visitor profiles, and we do not track you across other websites for our own purposes.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

This website sets no cookies of its own. It stores a single item in your browser’s session storage (named mfa-intro) so the short opening animation plays only once per visit rather than on every page. It contains no personal information and is discarded when you close the tab.

Two third-party services can place cookies or receive limited technical information:

• Google Fonts. Our typefaces are served by Google. Loading them means your IP address and browser details are visible to Google.
• Google Ads. When we are running advertising, a Google Ads conversion tag fires on the confirmation page shown after you submit an inquiry, so we can tell which advertisement led to your enquiry. This may involve advertising cookies, including for remarketing.

You can control advertising cookies through Google Ads Settings, the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out tool, or, in Canada, YourAdChoices. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings.

4. Why we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare for our first conversation
• To prepare quotes and proposals, and to plan, design and deliver work you book with us
• To communicate with you about a project already under way
• To keep records required for accounting and tax purposes
• To keep the website secure and working properly
• To measure whether our advertising is reaching the right people

We rely on your consent, given when you choose to send us an enquiry, and on the reasonable purposes of running our business. We will not use your information for a materially different purpose without telling you first.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, and only to the extent they need it:

• Netlify, Inc. for website hosting and inquiry form handling
• Google LLC for fonts, and advertising measurement when campaigns are running
• Our email provider, and our accountant or bookkeeper where a project record is involved
• Suppliers and venue contacts only where it is necessary to deliver work you have booked

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Information stored outside Canada

Our hosting and form provider stores data on servers in the United States. Personal information held outside Canada may be accessible to the courts and law enforcement of that country under its own laws. By sending us an enquiry through this website you consent to that transfer.

6. Photography

Our gallery shows photographs of weddings, events and installations we have produced, credited to the photographers who took them. If you appear in a photograph on this site and would like it removed, email info@mythologyfloral.com and we will take it down.

7. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are kept only as long as they are useful for following up, and are then deleted. Records relating to booked work are kept for as long as we need them for the project and afterwards for the period required by Canadian tax and business record-keeping rules.

8. Security

The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are encrypted in transit. Access to enquiries is limited to Natalie and anyone directly assisting with the work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take the safeguarding of your information seriously.

9. Your rights

Under PIPEDA you may:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy
• Ask us to correct anything inaccurate or incomplete
• Ask us to delete your information, subject to any record we are legally required to keep
• Withdraw your consent to further contact at any time

Email info@mythologyfloral.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

10. Children

This website is intended for adults planning weddings, events and commercial installations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Links to other websites

Our site links to photographers, venues, partners and social media platforms. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else’s website, governed by their privacy policy, not this one.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business or the tools we use change. The effective date at the top of the page will always show when it was last revised, and any significant change will be reflected here.
